Amy Simmons, PT, DPT
Clinic Director, OPT Bristol
Amy graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education/Health and in 2005 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She has completed additional course work in Functional Rehabilitation from the Kinetic Chain/Gray Institute as well as in Lumbopelvic Integration from IMTS. Amy completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston, MA in December of 2007. She has past service as the Programming Chair for the Rhode Island APTA Board of Directors.
Amy especially enjoys the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries / conditions as well as developing conditioning and injury prevention programs for local teams. She continues to be an active soccer player playing for the Wickford Tidal Wave of the RIWSL and a variety of indoor soccer teams. She serves as a team representative for the Tidal Wave.
Don Levine, MS, PT

Don Levine received his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from URI in 1992 and completed a fellowship with the Gray Institute for Functional Training in Applied Functional Science in November of 2007. In 2005 he received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the URI PT program. He also received the Distinguished Service Award from the RI Physical Therapy Association.
Don specializes in sports and orthopedics and provides the Aquatic Physical Therapy for Olympic PT. Don attends continuing education yearly and provides lectures, injury prevention and sports conditioning programs throughout Newport County. He is active at the state and national levels in his professional associations, providing service as the Vice President of the RI Physical Therapy Private Practice Group and past service as the Legislative Chair for the RI APTA Board of Directors.
Kerri Lewis, PTA
Kerri graduated from CCRI in 2003 with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences. She received her license as a Physical therapist Assistant at that time. Kerri has had acute and post-operative care experience from the Newport Hospital in Rhode Island as well as experience in both pediatrics and geriatrics. Kerri continues to further her education in functional rehabilitation and training via Chain Reaction Seminars and the Gary Gray Functional Rehabilitation method as well as by attending continuing education programs provided by Perform Better.
Kerri has been a competitive marksman for 20 years. She took 2nd place at the Rhode Island State Championship in 2006 and currently holds the Female State Champion record for Rhode Island. She was the 8th female finisher at US Nationals in 2008 and is ranked in the top 1/3rd nationally. Kerri ran cross country and competed in both the 1500 and 3000 meter events while at Middletown High School. She also served as a Cross Country Assistant Coach for Middletown High School.

Liz attended Franklin Pierce University on the Marlin Fitzwater Writing Scholarship. While there she worked as a student athletic trainer and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Liz serves in our Bristol clinic. She enjoys sports and acts as an assistant coach to the Middletown Islander girls soccer team. Liz plans to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Lorraine Stanzione

Lorraine brings over 41 years of experience in the administrative field to the OPT team. Her expertise in customer service and organizational skills are a definite asset in front office.
Eric Dodson
Physical Therapy Aide
Eric is a 2009 graduate of UMASS Amhurst with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. With a distinct interest in physical fitness and training, he also holds an additional certification through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Specialist. Eric serves both at the Bristol clinic as well as onsite at Roger William's University. He enjoys surfing, playing, hockey and playing the drums, He plans to pursue his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
