Olympic introduces the new age of custom orthotics using Amfit's Footfax Digitizer to cast for custom orthotics. A complete digital cast replaces the traditional non-weight-bearing plaster cast/foam box impression to ensure an accurate cast every time.

Olympic has been recognized for our new approach to functional orthotics that address the body from the ground up. Orthotics can be made to both relieve foot pain while also enhancing the function of the rest of the body. Click on the Banner for more information from Amfit.

PLASTER CAST and FOAM BOX CASTS
  • Non-weight-bearing casts for a static foot.
  • Do NOT allow for forefoot corrections.
  • Results/orthotics are not repeatable, there is a greater margin for error.
  • Fabricated orthotics are for a non-moving, non-weight-bearing foot.
  • Resulting hard plastic orthotics shut off rear foot and midtarsal joint motion.

Full weight-bearing scanning allows accurate casting of a foot in motion. This method has been proven to increase accuracy of casting, comfort of orthotics, and ultimately increase pain relief and enhance foot and overall performance. Fabricated orthotics can be made for athletic shoes as well as dress shoes without compromising comfort or support.

AMFIT'S DIGITAL CASTS
  • Full weight-bearing, full contact scan for a foot in motion.
  • Allow for rear foot, mid foot, and forefoot corrections.
  • Allows for multiple precise casts in 1/4 the time of traditional methods.
  • Repeatable results that clinicians want.
  • Orthotics turn ON foot.
  • Quicker casting, easier corrections and less total time reduces cost.

The hallux (big toe) has important connections to the rest of your body. Poor functioning can lead to knee, hip, low back, and neck pain.
