Don Levine, MSPT
Co-Owner Olympic Physical Therapy / Olympic Core Orthotics
Don Levine received his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from URI in 1992, and he will complete a Fellowship with the Gray Institute for Functional Training in Applied Functional Science in November of 2007. In 2005 he received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the URI PT program. He also received the Distinguished Service Award from the RI Physical Therapy Association.
Don specializes in sports and orthopedics and provides the Aquatic Physical Therapy for Olympic PT. Don attends continuing education yearly and provides lectures, injury prevention and sports conditioning programs throughout Newport County. He is active at the state and national levels in his professional associations, providing service as the Legislative Chair for the RI APTA and the Vice President of the RI Physical Therapy Private Practice Group.
Bert Reid, PT, DPT
Co-Owner Olympic Physical Therapy / Olympic Core Orthotics
Bert Reid received his Master's Degree from URI in 1993. He graduated cum laude from Tulane in 1987, where he was the captain of the varsity golf team and Academic All-American. He recently finished his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Mass. General Hospital.
Bert has taken over twenty-five advanced training seminars in specialized topics ranging from foot and ankle biomechanics, functional rehabilitation, performance training, mechanical low back and neck pain, Team Physician Sports Medicine, jaw pain, advanced orthotic fabrication, shoulder and throwing mechanics, and many more.
In 2008 Bert completed a 10 month Fellowship in Functional PT Rehab and Sports Biomechanics through the G.I.F.T. Program of the Gray Institute. In 2009 he completed the course and passed the exam of the Titleist Performance Institute Certified Fitness Professional. He conducts Golf Fitness Training seminars and classes. Bert has also worked as the sideline medical care specialist for the Narragansett High School Football Team for over 12 years based on his training with the ACSM Team Physician courses.
Kristin Riley, MSPT, ATC, CSCS
Kristin graduated from The University of New Hampshire in 1990 with a degree in Athletic Training and received her Masters is Physical Therapy in 1996 from the University of Rhode Island. She has worked in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation for over 15 years, including overseas with American Football teams. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has worked extensively with both athletic and non-athletic populations implementing advanced strength, conditioning, and functional rehabilitation programs.
Kristin has taken over 20 advanced training courses including gait, foot, upper and lower extremity biomechanics, and spinal rehabilitation. She also has an interest in Women's Rehabilitative Health issues including post breast cancer procedures and mastectomy.
Kristin employs an overall functional approach to her patients to help restore as well as improve, mobility, strength and performance.
Eric Isenberg, DPT, CSCS
Eric graduated from The University of Rhode Island in 2007 with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and received the academic excellence and faculty recognition awards. In 2005 he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In 2004 he graduated Summa Cum Laude from URI with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. In December of 2006, Eric traveled to Guatemala to provide therapy to disabled children at the Centro Maya School. Eric has experience working as a strength and conditioning trainer and a strong background in functionally-based therapy.
Jason Colberg, DPT
Jason graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth with a BS, in Biochemistry in 2000. After earning his bachelors degree, Jason continued his graduate school studies at Boston University, Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation. In 2004 he completed his graduate studies and received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). Prior to joining Olympic PT, Jason worked in level 1 trauma hospital in various areas including Orthopedics, Neurological, and Vascular. His experience brings a great understanding of patients in the acute stages of healing and recovery.
Erin Sanvidge, DPT
Erin graduated from Ithaca College in Central New York with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. She received Cum Laude status in both her graduate and doctorate years. Erin's primary interest is in sports rehabilitation and women's health and fitness, which was influenced greatly by her participation in Women's Varsity Basketball for four years in college. She recently completed her doctoral research program on the collaborative relationships between Physical Therapists and Chiropractors. Erin is motivated to foster this multidisciplinary approach towards health care and rehabilitation at Olympic Physical Therapy. Lastly, Erin is currently participating in an advanced training program of Applied Biomechanics and Functional Therapy
Josh Claire, DPT
Josh Claire graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2006 with a B.S. in Kinesiology, and in 2009 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his Graduate studies he was able to travel to Hawaii for a sports medicine and physical therapy internship where he was able to work with some of the world's best collegiate, Olympic, and professional athletes. In 2007 he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Josh's free time is spent coaching high school wrestling. On three occasions he had been nominated Assistant Coach of the Year.
Kerri Lewis, PTA
Kerri graduated from CCRI in 2003 with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences. She received her license as a Physical therapist Assistant at that time. Kerri has had acute and post-operative care experience from the Newport Hospital in Rhode Island as well as experience in both pediatrics and geriatrics. Kerri continues to further her education in functional rehabilitation and training via Chain Reaction Seminars and the Gary Gray Functional Rehabilitation method as well as attending continuing education such as Perform Better.
Kerri has been a competitive marksman for 20 years. She took 2nd place at the Rhode Island State Championship in 2006 and currently holds the Female State Champion record for Rhode Island. She is ranked in the top 1/3rd nationally. Kerri ran cross country and competed in both the 1500 and 3000 meter events. She was a Cross Country Assistant Coach for Middletown High School.
Sam Fischer, C. Ped
Sam received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Rhode Island in 2005. He is a Pedorthist, Certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics. He has advanced training in foot and ankle biomechanics and its affect on the kinetic chain, as well as diabetic foot care and orthotic fabrication techniques.
Sam continues to be an active volleyball player at tournaments throughout the Northeast. He was the captain of the URI Men's Volleyball Team and was selected Second Team All-Tournament at the 2005 Men's Volleyball Nationals. He has also coached and instructed skill clinics at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Ryan Connell, C. Ped
Olympic Core Orthotics
Ryan Connell is from Middletown, Rhode Island. He received his B.A. in American History from Salve Regina University in 2007. Certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics in 2009, Ryan has advanced training in foot and ankle biomechanics and its effect on the kinetic chain, as well as diabetic foot care and orthotic fabrication techniques.
An avid athlete, Ryan played Men's Soccer for four years at Salve Regina, and he was a lifeguard at Middletown's Sachuest Beach for over 10 years, the last five of which he served as a Captain. Ryan continues to be physically active by running and swimming and he participates in many triathlons and road races throughout New England.
Ryan has also spent a significant amount of time in Kenya where he helped to establish Flying Kites, a Newport based non-profit that provides care for orphaned and abused children.
